HC Deb 10 July 1968 vol 768 c69W
75. Mr. James Hamilton

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will take measures to stop the dumping of earth removing equipment; if he will halt imports of these unnecessary goods; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Dell

The Board of Trade wrote to a leading British manufacturer on 25th April explaining the procedure for action under the Customs Duties (Dumping and Subsidies) Act, 1957, and suggested a discussion. This invitation has not been taken up so far. The answer to the second part of the Question is "No".
