HC Deb 10 July 1968 vol 768 c71W
83. Mr. Hooly

asked the President of the Board of Trade, if he will ensure that the Crowther Committee on Consumer Credit take into account the effect of tax concessions on interest on loans for personal consumption.

Mrs. Gwyneth Dunwoody

The terms of reference will require the Committee among other things to consider the advantages and the disadvantages of the various forms of consumer credit, and I am sure that in doing so they can be relied upon to take account of all relevant factors.
