(2) what proposals he has received for retired people in the Greater London area to have concessionary fares on public transport; and what action he has taken.
§ Mr. MarshI received a number of requests for concessionary fares of this kind in the London area. Under proposals in the White Paper on Transport in London (Cmnd. 3686), the London boroughs, and local authorities outside Greater London where appropriate, will be enabled to arrange for, and meet the cots of, concessionary fares for old people, the blind and the disabled on the services of the proposed new London Transport Executive. These arrangements are similar to those being made outside the London area under the Transport Bill.
