§ 83. Sir F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs if he will now announce the membership of the Gibraltar Manpower Commission and 176W their terms of reference; and when he expects them to commence and complete their duties.
§ Mr. George ThomsonI am still in touch with the persons whom I would like to appoint for this purpose, and will make an announcement as soon as possible. Meanwhile a good deal of preparatory work has been done since my own return from Gibraltar.
The Mission's terms of reference will be as stated in my speech at the City Hall in Gibraltar on 23rd May, namely,
to review Gibraltar's manpower requirements taking into account future developments".The Mission will be asked to begin its work as soon as practicable after its appointment and to complete its report as soon as possible.
