asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how far advanced is the building and preparation of Hunterston B nuclear power station; and how many men are employed at present on the project.

Mr. Ross:

Soil stripping of the main construction area and excavation to rock on the main station site are now well advanced.

At the beginning of this month the construction site labour force numbered 138 men.
