§ Mr. Goronwy RobertsHer Majesty's Government regard the Scouts as the local security force of the Trucial States. They have been outstandingly effective in this role and I hope they will continue after our withdrawal. Their future is one of the topics we shall be discussing with the Rulers concerned.
