§ Mr. Probertasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) what estimate he has made of the number of leaseholders affected by Section 34 of the Leasehold Reform Act, 1967;
415W(2) what estimate he has made of the extent to which leaseholders, affected by Section 34 of the Leasehold Reform Act, 1967, have made use of the provisions of that Section.
§ Mr. MacCollI have no details of the numbers of long leases at ground rents which have expired since 8th December, 1964, but I would expect the number to be of the order of some thousands. Public records cannot provide full details of the private transactions under the Act and I cannot estimate the use that has been made of Section 34.
