HC Deb 09 December 1968 vol 775 c30W
Mr. Mackintosh

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services, how many people in the United Kingdom who have 100 per cent. disability pensions for war services also receive an unemployability allowance.

Mr. Pentland

At 30th August, 1968 (the latest date for which figures are available), 8,239 supplements for unemployability under the War Pensions scheme were in payment to pensioners with 100 per cent. war disablement pensions. This figure includes pensioners resident in the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and the Irish Republic. A separate figure confined to the United Kingdom is not available.
