§ Dr. Ernest A. Daviesasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what proposals have been made to his Department either for the building of primary schools in the Urban District of Urmston in the years 1967–68, 1968–69 and 1969–70 or for increasing classroom accommodation at existing primary schools and, on the second point, whether he requires the local education authority to seek his approval for such an extension.
§ Miss BaconTwo. The first, for two additional classrooms at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Primary School, Flixton, in 1967–68 was approved. I was unable to include the second, for a new Roman Catholic primary school in Davyhulme, in the original 1969–70 major programme and the Local Education Authority did not re-submit it for the revised programme for that year.512W safety. I have drawn the attention of my right hon. Friend, the Minister of Transport, to the comments of my hon. Friend, but I do not intend to add to the advice given in Circular 23/68, issued on 22nd November, 1968.
