HC Deb 04 December 1968 vol 774 cc471-2W
Mr. John Robertson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representation local authorities will have on the proposed Passenger Transport Group for Scotland.

Mr. Ross

In making appointments to the Group I will certainly bear in mind the value of local government experience, although direct representation of local authorities would be inappropriate.

Mr. John Robertson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he intends to set up the Passenger Transport Group as provided for in the Transport Act; and what proposals he has in this regard.

Mr. Ross

I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer given today to the hon. Member for Glasgow, Cathcart (Mr. Edward M. Taylor).
