Mr. MilianThe original estimate (dating from the beginning of 1962), which excluded furniture and equipment, was £498,000; the tender cost (October, 1963), which included changes in the scheme before the contract was let was £640,000. The current comparable estimated cost is £722,000, including £60,000 for increases in the cost of wages and material, £19,000 for post contract variations and contingencies and a consequential increase of £3,000 in fees.
