I have been asked to reply.

My Department's expenditure on research into criminology for each of the financial years 1963–64, 1964–65, 1965–66, 1966–67 and 1967–68 was£7,522,£8,172,£10,912,£12,232 and£16,194, respectively. These figures include a contribution to the Home Office Research Unit, which carries out criminological research jointly for the Scottish Home and Health Department and the Home Office.
