HC Deb 11 April 1968 vol 762 cc311-2W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to what extent the Government's policy of equal pay for equal work is applied to industrial civil servants in- the Ministry of Labour; and how many female industrial employees receive the same salaries and conditions as their male counterparts.

Mr. Harold Lever

Most women in the industrial Civil Service are not paid on men's rates and none are so paid in the Ministry of Labour. Women industrial civil servants generally have the same conditions of service as their male counterparts.
