Board been reduced since the date last year on which the regulations were changed in order to reduce the number of cases in which prior approval is required before treatment is commenced.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonThe revised arrangements for prior approval came into effect in July, 1967, but the Dental Estimates Board was able to take some account of them as from the preceding March. During the 12 months beginning March, 1967, the Board reduced its staff by 97 (whole-time equivalents), representing 7.5 per cent. of total staff. This reduction was attributable to a reorganisation of the Board's filing system as well as to the relaxtion of the prior approval requirements.
