(2) how many people have qualified as electric welders at the Government Training Centre, Queenslie, in each year from the inception of the course; and how many of them have been placed in employment appropriate to their training.

Mr. Hattersley

24 men have completed training as electric welders at the Queenslie Centre since the course started in May 1967, 19 of them in 1967 and five during the first three months of 1968. Five men who started training failed to complete it. 19 have so far been placed in their training trade and efforts are continuing to place the other five.

Mr. Hattersley

About £650. This figure includes training allowances, but not administrative costs.
