The only comprehensive figures showing changes in numbers of jobs are obtained by comparing for different years the mid-year estimates of employees in employment. The figures show net changes only and there is no way of identifying "jobs created" and "jobs lost". Nor are estimates made 165W for counties. The 1966 mid-year estimates for the area covered by the Aberystwyth, Cardigan, Lampeter and Llandyssul employment exchanges show 14,340 employees in employment compared with 14,030 in 1965, a net increase of 310. The 1967 mid-year estimate for this area is not yet available.
