§ Mr. Robert Howarthasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will take action to reduce the record level of imports of cotton cloth and yarn as shown by the January and February totals, especially as an increasing percentage is now arriving from China.
§ Mr. CroslandProvisional figures for January and February, 1968 indicate that retained imports of cotton yarn and piece-goods from all sources were lower, not higher, than in the same months of 1966 and 1967. A very high proportion of the cotton cloth imported from China is for process and re-export.
