Q13. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether he will ensure that, when Members of Parliament write to Ministers, such Members receive replies within a reasonable time; when the hon. Member for West Ham, North, can expect a reply to the communication which he sent to him on 26th February concerning proposals for appointments to Select Committees; and whether he will ensure hat this is despatched before the Easter recess.

I am sure that all Ministers try to deal with their correspondence as quickly as circumstances permit. That applies also to my hon. Friend's letter to me, and I will write as soon as my inquiries are complete.
