HC Deb 04 April 1968 vol 762 cc141-2W
Dr. Summerskill

asked the Prime Minister whether he has received the report of the Royal Commission on Medical Education; and what action the Government proposes to take on it.

The Prime Minister

The report has been presented to Parliament by Command of Her Majesty and published today. It will now be examined urgently by the Government. I am sure, too, that it will be carefully considered by the many other bodies who will be concerned with the recommendations made and by the medical profession generally.

I should like to take this opportunity to thank the Chairman, Lord Todd, and the members of the Commission for the valuable work they have done in producing so comprehensive a report on this most important subject.
