§ Mr. FreesonIn consultation with the Hydraulics Research Station the National Coal Board have been making a preliminary investigation into the engineering and cost feasibility of disposing of colliery waste from parts of the East Midlands coalfield on the Wash coastline. Here, combined with suitable deposits of top soil, it could be used for412W reclaiming land for agricultural purposes. The Report on this investigation has not yet been completed but I understand that from the National Coal Board's point of view such a project is unlikely to be economic.
