HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 cc310-1W
Mr. Bob Brown

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a statement on his discussions with the Norwegian Government during the course of his visit to Norway in August.

Mr. George Brown

Our discussions covered a wide range of subjects including East/West relations, the future of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, the situation in Greece and the Far East. We also discussed the Middle East crisis, which has important consequences for Norway, particularly on the question of shipping. My visit came at an opportune moment for a useful exchange of views on the integration of Western Europe in the light of our applications for membership of the European Communities.
