HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 c315W
102. Mr. John Hall

asked the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs if, in view of the continuing influx of immigrants especially of women and children, and the possibility of continuing uncontrolled large scale immigration from East Africa, he will ask the National Institute of Economic and Social Research to expedite its report on the economic effects of immigration.

Mr. Alan Williams

No. We need a thorough and wide-ranging study and no useful purpose would be served by asking for the report to be expedited.
