HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 c289W
53. Mr. Wall

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will relax the conditions under which charities can transmit funds to their branches or associates in Rhodesia; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Callaghan

No change is at present contemplated. Sterling payments are allowed for current expenditure on charitable and humanitarian projects at the rate of 75 per cent. of remittances in 1965. Payments are not permitted for long-term projects which could be deferred till constitutional government is restored.
