HC Deb 21 November 1967 vol 754 cc309-10W
101. Mr. Ronald Bell

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what representations he has made to the Algerian Government about the British aircraft detained in Algeria by the Algerian Government; and with what result.

Mr. Goronwy Roberts

We have been in constant touch with the Algerian authorities since the aircraft landed in Algeria on 30th June. Since the two British pilots were released on 23rd September we have continued to press for the release of the aircraft. We were assured at the end of October by a responsible Algerian official that this would be done soon.
