Mr. Staintonasked the Minister of Transport whether her attention has been drawn to the conviction of a motorist by Sudbury magistrates for a parking offence on 25th August; and to similar cases which have occurred elsewhere due to parking notices omitting a vital part of the regulations; and whether she will take steps to see that the notices are worded so as to make the law on the matter clear.
§ Mr. SwinglerNo, and I have no knowledge of similar cases. Under the existing Procedure Regulations local authorities are already required to give adequate information to motorists using a parking place.
