asked the President of the Board of Trade what the cost has been to the balance of payments for the years 1964, 1965, 1966 and 1967, to the nearest available date, through importing sulphur for industrial and other uses.

Mr. Darling

The value of imports was £6.3 million in 1964, £8.3 million in 1965, £11.6 million in 1966 and for the period January to September, 1967, £8.6 million.
