§ Mr. MacDermotThe estimated surtax yield in 1967–68 is £250 million as shown in the Financial Statement. I cannot answer the first two parts of the Question since surtax is charged on total income and not on earned and unearned income separately; nor are useful figures available of the total Surtax yield split between the Surtax bands.
