HC Deb 09 May 1967 vol 746 c212W
Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if, in view of Her Majesty's Government having decided to apply for membership of the European Economic Community, his Department, in conjunction with the Welsh Economic Council and the Welsh Planning Board, will prepare a detailed study of the likely effects upon the Welsh economy of Great Britain's entry into-the European Economic Community.

Mr. Cledwyn Hughes

I would refer my hon. Friend to the remarks on Development Areas included in the statement which my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister made in the House on 8th May. I shall not overlook the question of consulting the Welsh Economic Council.—[Vol. 746, c. 1075–7.]
