HC Deb 04 May 1967 vol 746 c98W
Mr. Judd

asked the Minister of Overseas Development on what detailed analysis the present level of aid to India is based; and what plans there are for increasing that level.

Mr. Bottomley

Aid to India is based on the detailed analyses made for the Aid India Consortium by the World Bank. At the recent meeting of the Consortium in Paris members agreed that for planning purposes a target of approximately $1,300 million (including foodstuffs) of new aid for 1967–68 to be provided in non-project form was appropriate.
