§ Sir J. Edenasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what advice he has given to local authorities concerning the operation of Houses for Key Workers schemes in order to obtain essential skilled labour where it is most needed.
§ Mr. MellishI am sending the hon. Member a copy of a Circular on Housing and the Redeployment of labour which was issued earlier this year. In addition, the Housing Subsidies Bill provides for a supplementary subsidy to be paid in certain circumstances for houses provided as part of a scheme involving a substantial transfer of industry or of persons engaged in an industry.
