§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information he has as to the longest period of extra imprisonment ordered under Section 6 of the Criminal Appeal Act, 1966.
§ Mr. Roy Jenkins191 days. But since 1st December, 1966, following a review by the court of its practice, the longest period has been 91 days; and earlier orders inconsistent with the present policy of the court are under review.
