HC Deb 09 March 1967 vol 742 c324W
44. Mrs. Joyce Butler

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will inquire into the circumstances in which highly inflammable dolls were imported into this country before his Department asked for their withdrawal from sale; and if he will make a statement.

Miss Bacon

The importers mainly concerned have already taken steps to ensure that no dolls of this kind will be imported in future and the sale of such dolls will in any case be illegal under the new regulations for children's toys which will be ready shortly. I doubt, therefore, whether an inquiry would help.
