§ 66. Mr. John Fraserasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will introduce legislation to enable the Housing Corporation to borrow money direct from building societies and insurance companies in order to relend it to housing associations together with its own funds.
§ Mr. GreenwoodIt was the original intention that the building societies and other private sources of finance should participate directly in financing housing societies and share the risks and I do not think we should be justified in departing from that arrangement.
