§ Sir W. Teelingasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps he has taken, and is taking, to obtain a settlement of the Bulgarian debts to this country.
§ Mr. William RodgersCertain United Kingdom claims against Bulgaria were 33W settled by the Financial Agreement of the 22nd September, 1955, between the two Governments.
No acceptable offer was made in respect of the Bulgarian External Sterling Bonded Debt, which was therefore excluded from the financial settlement and remains in default, but we have in mind to take apposite steps when the prospect for progress improves.
