asked the Postmaster-General if he will reconsider the decision to place the post office at Macclesfield under the managerial control of the head postmaster at Stockport.

The amalgamation of these two offices will improve efficiency and reduce costs without affecting service to the public; my right hon. Friend knows of no grounds which would justify altering the decision.
