§ Mr. John Wellsasked the Minister of Labour, what economies have been made in his Department since 20th July, 1966, in expenditure on hospitality and official entertainment.
§ Mr. GunterThere is rigorous control at all times of every item of expenditure of this kind. In the second half of 1966 there was a considerable increase in the numbers of overseas delegations for whom a measure of hospitality is a normal courtesy, but the total expenditure on entertainment at home and abroad has been reduced during this period by about one-third compared with the second half of 1965.
