§ Mr. Russell Johnstonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the current waiting list for entry into approved schools; and what plans exist for further provision of this kind in Scotland.
§ Mr. RossFive Protestant boys and 33 Roman Catholic boys are at present awaiting suitable vacancies; most of these will be found places within 3–4 weeks. About 20 new places for Protestant boys and 40 for Roman Catholic boys are expected to become available within the next few months. For each denomination further additional places and one completely new school are to be provided.
