§ 93. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why the official tour of Mr. Kosygin in Great Britain, when extended beyond the Border, was confined to south-west Scotland; and why it did not extend to the north and north-east of Scotland.
§ Mr. George ThomsonOnly one day was available during Mr. Kosygin's visit for a tour out of London. His journey included a visit to Edinburgh, but it would not have been practicable to extend his tour to the north and northeast of Scotland. The items included in the programme were designed to meet Mr. Kosygin's particular interests and wishes.
