Mr. Gwynfor Evans

asked the Minister of Labour (1) if he will give a list of the exchanges which have a percentage of unemployment which is below the average for the counties of the United Kingdom, specifying for each area the percentage of unemployed persons; and what proportion these exchanges form of the total in Wales;

(2) if he will give a list of the Welsh employment exchanges which have a percentage of unemployment below the average for the counties of Great Britain, specifying for each area the percentage of unemployed persons.

At 13th November, 1967, the percentage rate of unemployment was below the rate for the United Kingdom (2.6 per cent.) and for Great Britain (2.5 per cent.) at four of the 54 Employment Exchange or travel-to-work areas in Wales. The areas were:
