§ 73. Mr. Hooleyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will propose in the United Nations Security Council the creation of a United Nations Sanctions Committee to assist and advise the Secretary-General in the application of mandatory sanctions against Rhodesia.
§ Mr. George Brown:Her Majesty's Government are always open to practical suggestions for improving the effectiveness of sanctions, but I am not convinced that my hon. Friend's proposal would help towards this end as things stand at the moment.
