§ Mr. Bryant Godman Irvineasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government when legislation will be introduced to remove the doubt which has risen about Section 27 of the Water Resources Act 1963 with regard to the proposal for 225W a reservoir in the Bewl Valley and what form it will take.
§ Mr. Greenwood:Legislation to amend Section 27 will be introduced as soon as practicable. The intention is to remove any doubt which may exist about the powers of water undertakings, and certain other bodies, to apply for licences under Part IV of the Act in circumstances where they have initiated proceedings for compulsory purchase of the necessary interest in land.
