HC Deb 14 December 1967 vol 756 cc216-7W
80. Sir J. Vaughan-Morgan

asked the Minister of Transport when the Reigate Borough Council is likely to have a reply to its request for the establishment of a pedestrian crossing in Pendleton Road, Redhill, near the Redhill General Hospital.

Mr. Carmichael:

Various suggestions have been made for a crossing at this site. This year the Divisional Road Engineer has considered a request from the Reigate General Hospital, forwarded by the Borough Engineer but the traffic and pedestrian flows are not heavy enough to justify a crossing. The hospital have been told this. I am not aware of any outstanding application from the council.
