§ 46. Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects to lay before Parliament the Orders required to implement the recommendations of the parliamentary Boundary Commission.
§ Mr. Callaghan:Section 2(5) of the House of Commons (Redistribution of Seats) Act, 1949 provides for draft Orders in Council to be laid before Parliament at the same time as the reports of the Boundary Commissions. The Commissions are obliged to submit their reports by the autumn of 1969.
