HC Deb 14 December 1967 vol 756 c196W
39. Mr. Brian Harrison

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what action he is taking to co-ordinate the activities of the several voluntary societies concerned with the prevention of accidents from drowning.

Mr. Ennals:

My right hon. Friend has no statutory powers in this connection, but my Department keeps closely in touch with the work of the National Water Safety Committee which is sponsored by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. Most of the societies concerned are represented on this Committee.
