HC Deb 14 December 1967 vol 756 c206W
74. Mr. Dalyell

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what discussions he has had with organisations at home, and abroad, with a view to setting up an international research station at Aldabra Atoll in the Indian Ocean; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Shirley Williams:

None. The Royal Society in consultation with other interested bodies at home and overseas, including the Natural Environment Research Council, are actively considering the research facilities necessary to support a programme of work on Aldabra and how they might best be provided.
