HC Deb 11 December 1967 vol 756 c59W
Mr. Dempsey

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many breathalyser tests have been carried out since their introduction; how many successful convictions followed; and how many appeals were lodged, and with what results.

Mr. Ross:

Between 9th October and 30th November approximately 1,000 roadside breath tests were carried out by the police in Scotland. Details of convictions and appeals in cases where such tests were carried out are not readily available.
