Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether he will refrain from appointing Members of Parliament, of either House, to chairmanships or members of State boards until he receives an assurance in each case that the appointee will give up all other sources of income, apart from his board emoluments, in order to encourage the acceptance of the wages, prices and incomes policy among the lower paid workers.
