HC Deb 11 December 1967 vol 756 c50W
Mr. Temple

asked the Prime Minister whether he will initiate an investigation into the administrative machinery for control of the battle against foot-and-mouth disease, in view of the range of Government Department, local authorities and civil contractors involved.

The Prime Minister

I would refer the hon. Member to the speech of my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in the debate on 4th December, 1967.—[Vol. 755, c. 986–1009.]

Mr. Temple

asked the Prime Minister whether he will appoint a Minister with sole responsibility for the battle against foot-and-mouth disease.

The Prime Minister

My right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food already has that responsibility.
