asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what percentage of planning appeals in the first six months of 1967 was turned down by his Department.

78 per cent. of appeals decided in this period were dismissed.

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what was the average length of time between the submission of planning appeals to his Department and the issue of the decisions during the first six months of 1967.

The average times between receipt and decision for appeals which went to inquiry and for those settled on written representations were 39 and 26½ weeks respectively.
