HC Deb 26 April 1967 vol 745 c286W
84. Mr. Ford

asked the President of the Board of Trade what is the numbers of pilots likely to qualify from civilian training establishments and to be available for commercial aviation in the United Kingdom during each of the years 1967 to 1972 inclusive.

Mr. J. P. W. Mallalieu

According to information from existing training establishments, the estimates are: in 1967, 440; and in 1968, 590. For years beyond, the capacity is expected to be at least 600 per year but the actual output will depend on demand and many other factors.
